Update update!!
Heys. seems like i have gone hiatus for a long time now. about a month? okay. Lets see.. oh. i went to Melacca for a day on the first day of CNY, which falls on 26 January. My! people were like sleeping in on a public holiday which seriously the streets were empty. Woke up early. Some 6am. Left home at 7 plus am. And my was the bus late! i waited for some half an hour for a miserable bus. Well cant be blamed since most people were busy drooling away and very little bus drivers were on duty. But still freaking pissed. Imagine waiting so long and running late so more.
anyways, bus came and along the way the bus picked my aunt and cousins up since it was the only bus which would pass by the same route to our destination in the last half and hour. and we reached the place some time after. My! thank god my aunt and cousins came. if it were just me and mom. I would have been pulling a long fast all the way till we got back to Singapore.
Oh and this trip to Melacca was a visit my mom's colleague's house which they bought in Melacca. The details are as followed..
Her colleague bought a land in Melacca some 5 years ago and built a house in accordance to their preferrence and now it is almost done. Well the structure was done just some touch ups to be done some more. So my mom's whole office staffs were invited, including their family. This is where i, my aunt and cousins( 2 of them) come in. My mom's colleague booked a coach to bring us from singapore there and back to homeland. There was also a tour guide to bring us around after our lunch at the new house. And he was funny! he introduced himself as "Malaysian-born Indian". haha. unique! U-NI-QUE as Li juan would say!! haha. miss lijuan! okay moving on.
The house was so-so. I didnt even bothered to tour the house. Im sorry but i was just not interested? Wee, it wasnt something i would "wow" at upon reaching but the environment outside of the house were inspiring! The neighbours were "farmers". They has loads and loads of plants planted!! Being an avid fan of plants, my mom, me and aunt, we decided to tour around the "neighbourhood". There were hibiscus(pink,white red), pineapple, aloe vera(humongous i tell you!), lady's finger, chilli padi, brinjal and many more. Too many to remember. It happened so long time ago. And my there were loads of saga seed which were littering the place where the bus stopped to alight us. For a moment i was thinking what a waste and wanted to pick it all up from the ground which was kinda dirty? For my face and image i had to burst my thinking bubble. Imagine what i could have done with all those saga seeds!! package them nicely and give as gifts of make a business out of it! M'sia seriuosly has loads of lands. i should just move there and build an empire for my business of saga seeds!
Moving on, we were brought to Malacca's historical place.. one of the most intruguing was the history about this man.. St. Francis Xavier. He took part in Malacca's history and was a Roman Catholic missionary. In short what amazed me was that he was believed to be a saint such that when he died his body up till now, without any preservation like the Mummy's belonging to the Cleopatra Age his body is still intact and still fresh-human looking. Once, he was placed in a museum without a glass container covering him and people who came to visit wanted to try if he was real, so on a pretext of bowing to him, there was a person who bit his toe and it came off. So now he has 9 toes instead of 10. Humans. We are weird arent we? Seeing is not believable enough, biting might be. haha. and so people learn from their mistakes and a glass container was placed to prevent further toe losses..haha. kinda funny if you think about it.. And there was this place which he was once buried so they make a cage above the spot where visitors could throw a coin or as many as we like to, each time making a wish. I did! twice. But im not telling what. haha.
So we did some shopping and reached Singapore around 11.30 pm. Left singapore before sunrise and returned after sunset. What a long day! Lucky for me it wasnt a waste trip. I bought not one but two footwear, slippers and sandles. Its cheap! 5 dollars per pair. If i knew, would have bought 2 pairs each. haha. I love Malaysia!(for now) Malaysia BOLEH! haha. Oh i shall post some pics which i didnt take there for i forgot my camera but from the net of the historical place..
